Additional Application Information

Students wishing to attend UCCS, either online or on campus, after graduating from high school and who have not taken college courses after high school are considered first-year students.

Please visit the Admissions Details page for additional information about the first-year student application process. 

Students applying for ASCENT and TREP will also use this application.

Those who have previously attended UCCS as a degree-seeking student, either online or on campus, and who would like to be readmitted are considered Returning UCCS Students.

If you previously attended as a non-degree seeking student you will need to fill out a transfer application.

Students who have graduated high school or have earned a high school equivalency and have 24+ college credit hours are considered transfer students.

Transfer students interested in online or on-campus programs can use the Transfer Student Application.

Online applicants may use a variety of applications based on the level of education completed.

  • Online applicants with 24+ college credit hours should use the Transfer Application.
  • Online applicants with a high school diploma and have not taken college courses or have less than 24 college credits should use the First-year Application.
  • Online applicants who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree and are interested in pursuing further education should use the Graduate Application

Students interested in undergraduate programs who are not residents of a U.S. territory are considered international students.

Students who have not already earned a bachelor's degree and would like to take courses, either online or on campus, but do not wish to complete a degree are considered undergraduate non-degree seeking students.

Through special partnerships and agreements with school districts, students can enroll at UCCS while still in high school through Concurrent and dual enrollment opportunities.

Individuals who have completed a Bachelor's Degree and are interested in pursuing further education at UCCS, either online or on campus, are considered graduate students.

This application is for the following students interested in graduate programs:

  • Degree-seeking students
  • Non-degree seeking students
  • International students

The Academic Outreach application is for the following individuals:

  • K-12 students interested in Middle or High School programs
  • Professionals interested in continuous learning or career development
  • Life-long learners
