NON-DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS
Whether you’re seeking a professional certificate, a high-school student looking to take a few classes, or even a curious intellectual interested in a course of study at UCCS, our offerings are broad and diverse. We look forward to reviewing your application!
Students admitted with a non-degree seeking designation are admitted on a special set of criteria different from our standard admission policies for one semester and must reapply each semester they wish to enroll with this designation. An applicant submits a specific non-degree application and a $50 application fee. Transcripts are not required for this process but may be needed to prove the completion of pre-requisite courses to enroll in desired courses.
This status also applies to high school students wishing to take courses at UCCS, but not complete a degree.
Understanding Concurrent Enrollment at UCCS
A Concurrent Enrollment student is a student that is not enrolled in a UCCS degree program and catalog year. These students are admitted on a special set of criteria different from our standard admission policies. High School Concurrent applications are good only for that one specific semester.
Understanding Undergraduate Non-Degree Seeking at UCCS
The non-degree seeking student designation has been established to meet the needs of these students who wish to take university courses but do not presently intend to work toward a degree at the University of Colorado. Permission to register for specific courses is contingent upon the availability of space.
