Welcome to the UCCS Hotel & Conference Center REOI Portal
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is exploring a transformative opportunity to bring a full-service hotel and conference center to campus—enhancing our academic mission, elevating community engagement, and meeting growing demand for hospitalityAbout the Project
UCCS has issued a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) to identify qualified partners to develop a hotel and conference center on campus. The envisioned facility will:
- Provide on-campus accommodations for visitors, events, athletics, and academic gatherings.
- Deliver flexible meeting and conference space that serves both university and community needs.
- Create hands-on learning opportunities aligned with a new UCCS College of Business program for Hospitality, Tourism, and Resort Management.
UCCS welcomes interest from a wide spectrum of potential partners, including firms of varying size, background, and market approach. The University seeks to broaden the pool of ideas, experiences, and perspectives considered during this process in order to ensure the strongest possible outcomes for the campus and community.
This portal is the central hub for prospective partners to review the vision, understand the site context, and access key technical resources.

Frequently Asked Questions
The preferred site is on the north end of campus with strong visibility and convenient access to North Nevada Avenue and I-25. The site is currently occupied by the UCCS softball field and is directly north of the Ent Center for the Arts. Drone footage on this page illustrates the context and adjacencies.
UCCS anticipates a full-service hotel with conference and event capabilities. Final scale, room count, and program mix will be informed by respondent concepts, feasibility, and alignment with campus needs.
The University is open to creative, market-tested structures (e.g., ground lease, JV, creditworthy operating partners) that balance risk, ensure public-sector transparency, and deliver long-term value.
Key dates and submission requirements are detailed in the REOI. Updates and addenda (if any) will be posted to this portal and communicated to registered respondents.
Design, circulation, utilities, parking, and operational coordination will be guided by campus standards and stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless integration with academic and community uses.
