  • Scores must be less than two years old at the time of admission; older scores will not be accepted.
  • Official scores must be sent directly to UCCS from the testing agency.
  • Photocopies and scanned documents may be submitted for initial review.

 

English Language Proficiency Exemptions
  • U.S. College or University: Completed a minimum of one year (two full-time semesters) of academic coursework at a U.S. college or university including completion of English Composition I with a grade of C or higher.
  • Citizen of a country whose first/official language and the language of instruction is English and has completed all secondary or post-secondary schooling in that country.
  • Exempt Countries: Australia, Belize, Botswana, Canada (except Quebec), Commonwealth Caribbean, Ghana, Great Britain, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

Conditional admission is offered to students who are academically competitive but have not achieved the necessary score for direct admission or have not submitted a TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE score.   If you do not meet the English proficiency requirements listed above, you can be enrolled into the UCCS Intensive English Program.
