A Message from the Chancellor
Dr. Venkat Reddy

I am honored to serve as the seventh full-time chancellor of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Our university is home to exceptional students driven to build bright futures – for themselves, their communities and their world. The outstanding academic culture, innovative attitude and commitment to excellence at UCCS were all reasons why I joined the Mountain Lion family nearly thirty years ago. They continue to inspire me today.

My promise to you is that each day, I will strive hard to execute the confidence our leadership has placed in me. I will represent our university well to University of Colorado President Todd Saliman, my fellow University of Colorado chancellors, and the Board of Regents to continue moving this great university forward.

About the Chancellor
Dr. Venkat Reddy serves as the Chancellor and professor of finance at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). He received his Ph.D. and master’s degrees from Penn State.

Over the last 30 years, Dr. Reddy has served as a faculty member and dean in the UCCS College of Business prior to taking on the role of Chancellor in 2017. Under Dr. Reddy’s leadership, the campus has taken on strategic initiatives in the areas of health and wellness, cybersecurity, online education, equity, diversity and inclusion, and public-private partnerships. The university has also launched its 2020-2030 Strategic Plan, which charts a clear path for the next decade at UCCS.

Dr. Reddy continues to stay engaged with UCCS alumni, friends of the university, and the Colorado Springs community through a variety of programs. He previously served on the National Cyber Security Center Board of Directors and was one of the Honorary Commanders at the United States Air Force Academy in 2021-2022. He is committed to student success and our community success.

Chancellor's Cabinet

The chancellor could not succeed with his goals without the support of a talented group of campus staff. UCCS Chancellor’s Cabinet leads key departments and initiatives at UCCS.
