Partnering with parents and families
to support the learning, development, and success of our students.

As a parent or family member of a UCCS student, you are a part of our Mountain Lion family. The Office of Parent and Family Programs is here to help you become more familiar with the UCCS campus and community and to answer any questions that you may have. We know that parent and family involvement is important to student success and welcome opportunities to partner with you. We hope that you and your student will have a rewarding and successful academic career. We want to ensure that you know how to locate the wide variety of resources available to you and your student. Here are just a few of the ways that our office partners with parents:

October 4th

Begin your UCCS visit by getting to know a few of the resources available to your student by checking out an open house or two, or all of them. Encourage your student to give you a tour of campus to show you all of the places that they have learned to love. Grab dinner at a restaurant in University Village Colorado and then enjoy an evening of artistic wonder at our state-of-the-art Ent Center for the Arts. Or, if you're more into sports, come cheer on the Women's Soccer and Volleyball Teams.

October 5th

Saturday is jam-packed with family-focused activities that will provide opportunities for quality time with your student. Kick-off your morning with donuts and coffee at the Excel Science Center and Campus Class with Dr. Chris Bell. Transition into the afternoon with a Street Taco lunch and then head to FamFest 2k19, our big Family Weekend event. Following FamFest, get ready to cheer on our Women's Volleyball team as they take on Black Hills State and end your evening with a Rustic Colorado dinner and one of the most amazing magic shows that we've ever brought to UCCS.

October 6th

Sunday is designed to give you time to explore Colorado Springs with your student - from Garden of the Gods and the Olympic Training Center to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and more, there are a lot of attractions to experience while you're in town. Or, perhaps enjoy a brunch with your student and then come back to Mountain Lion Stadium in the afternoon to cheer on our Mountain Lion Women's Soccer team as they take on Dixie State. Go Mountain Lions!
