Partnering with parents and families
to support the learning, development, and success of our students.

PARENT & FAMILY PROGRAMS

As a parent or family member of a UCCS student, you are a part of our Mountain Lion family. The Office of Parent and Family Programs is here to help you become more familiar with the UCCS campus and community and to answer any questions that you may have. We know that parent and family involvement is important to student success and welcome opportunities to partner with you. We hope that you and your student will have a rewarding and successful academic career. We want to ensure that you know how to locate the wide variety of resources available to you and your student. Here are just a few of the ways that our office partners with parents:

Nestled right in between the time freshmen are dropped off at the beginning of the semester and when they come home for the holidays, Parent and Family Weekend 2018 is the perfect reason to visit UCCS to spend time with your first-year student.

Please keep in mind that space is limited. Register right away before wristbands sell out.

Package Details (Pricing and Activities)

October 5th

Day one (October 5th) is unplanned. Students will often show their families around campus highlighting the places they spend most of their time. For dinner, families may enjoy a dinner in the dining hall with their student, but many will choose to treat their student (and perhaps their student's roommate(s)) to a dinner off-campus at University Village Colorado.

October 6th

Day two (October 6th) consists of a planned, on campus experience for families and their students to enjoy some quality time together at UCCS. Activities* include, but are not limited to Mother-Daughter self-defense course, coffee and donuts with the Excel Centers, a campus lecture, massage/chiropractic demos, historic walking tour of campus, painting class, caricaturist, and live entertainment.

*Access to activities is based upon Parent and Family Weekend package purchased. Three packages available.

October 7th

Day three (October 7th) is unplanned so that you may spend the day in whatever way you wish - perhaps while exploring Colorado Springs or taking your student shopping to stock up on supplies.
