Welcome to SPA
The John Suthers Scholarship was established to provide meritorious scholarships to junior and senior level undergraduate students enrolled in UCCS’s School of Public Affairs, the Rocky Mountain West’s premier school of public administration. Our students have a passion for making the world a better place and work hard to balance work, family and studies. Here’s how one recipient of this scholarship’s support expressed his gratitude:
“Receiving the John Suthers Scholarship was an enormous help to my family. As a full time student and parent of three, expenses sometimes got tight. I’m truly thankful for the freedom the Suthers Scholarship provided”
Please join me in supporting excellence in local government. Your gift fuels success!
George E. Reed, Ph.D.

New Student Orientation 2017 - UCCS School of Public Affairs
Why SPA at UCCS?
Choose the Best!
The UCCS School of Public Affairs is one of the premier schools of public administration in the Rocky Mountain West, and the school's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is accredited by NASPAA. The small, intimate size of the UCCS School of Public Affairs makes it a highlight for prospective and current students, making SPA an outstanding choice.
The school is known for its friendly and inviting culture and scholarship. While the student body is small; faculty and staff members are readily accessible and engage students as peers. At UCCS School of Public Affairs, students are assured of excellence in teaching by exceptional faculty.
