Transfer Application Information

All the information you need to submit your application to UCCS successfully. Students who graduated high school — or earned a high school equivalency — and have 24 or more college credit hours earned after high school — not including college credit earned while in high school — are considered transfer students at UCCS.

Individual UCCS College Requirements
  • College of Letters, Arts, & Sciences: 2.4 cumulative GPA
  • College of Business: 3.0 cumulative GPA*
  • College of Education: 2.4 cumulative GPA
  • College of Engineering & Applied Science: 3.0 cumulative GPA**
  • Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing & Health Sciences (Nursing major) - GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Helen and Arthur E. Jonson Beth-El College of Nursing & Health Science (Health Sciences major) - GPA of 2.5 or above
  • School of Public Affairs: 2.4 cumulative GPA

*Students must also have completed ENG 121 and MAT 121 with a C- or better prior to admission.

**Completion of Calculus I and Calculus-based Physics and/or College Chemistry is highly encouraged.

Application Information

Use this application if you have 24 or more college credit hours earned after high school and want to transfer to UCCS. Students who have previously attended UCCS should apply to be readmitted to UCCS within our Transfer and Returning Student Application.
UCCS does not prefer one application over the other and all students will be reviewed in the order their application file is completed (submitted application and official required documents received), regardless of which application is used.

Submit Application Fee
About the $50 Fee

Upon submission of the application you will have the option to pay by credit card. If you did not pay when you applied you can pay by check or money order (made payable to the UCCS). Students can also pay the fee by credit card (If the link doesn't work in Chrome please use it in Firefox). Checks or money orders can be mailed to UCCS. If submitting a check or money order, include your full legal name and date of birth. We recognize that some students may be faced with financial constraints in paying the application fee, please connect with your Admissions Counselor to discuss this.

Submit High School/GED Transcripts
Information on Transcripts

Transcripts must be official and submitted directly to UCCS from the issuing institution. Transcripts can be mailed to UCCS.
If you have not graduated you must submit an official copy of your certificate of high school equivalency/official GED scores.

Additional Information on Transcripts

We require transcripts from each and every collegiate institution you attended during and after graduating from high school, whether or not courses were completed and whether or not you believe the record will affect your admission or transfer credit. Transcripts must be official and submitted directly to UCCS from the issuing institution. Transcripts can be mailed to UCCS.

Students with international/foreign post-secondary/college transcripts
Any Applicants with International/Foreign Post-Secondary/College course works

Upload a copy of the secondary school/high school transcripts (final three years), language school transcripts, and post-secondary/college/university transcripts during the application process. We require transcripts from each and every collegiate institution attended during and after graduation from high school. In addition, applicants with course-work from any foreign college must submit a course-by-course foreign transcript evaluation by a NACES or AICE member in order for such coursework to be considered for transfer credit at UCCS. (Please note: Official evaluations received directly from SpanTran, WES and ECE credential agencies may enable more efficient review and processing of transfer credit by UCCS.)
