NAC Requirements

NAC

A Network Access Control(NAC) is a system which helps secure an enterprise grade wireless network by protecting each individual connected client and services the network has to offer by enforcing a set of policies. For a new authorized user to use UCCS-Wireless, a small policy key checker client called Safe Connect needs to be installed on the user's system.

Policy Key Checker Client

For the NAC to ensure and verify that the latest OS Updates have been applied, Antivirus software running in the background and latest Antivirus definitions have been applied, a very small light weight client software is required to be running on the user system to have full and continued access to UCCS-Wireless. This client only needs to be installed once and user will be prompted to download this client when they first try to connect and use UCCS-Wireless. If a user is having issues installing this client, please contact the IT Helpdesk.
