Vice Chancellor Administration & Finance


Charles “Chuck” Litchfield joined UCCS in March 2018, and serves as the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He oversees the university’s budget and accounting functions and is responsible for facilities, public safety, human resources, student admissions, recruitment, registrar, orientation, degree audit, first year experience, parent programs, retention, university studies, pre-collegiate development, financial aid, student employment and scholarships.

Prior to joining UCCS he was the Associate Vice Provost for Finance and Administration of Undergraduate Education at Stanford University, responsible for accounting compliance, financial planning, administrative policy, human resources, information technology, communications, and facilities.

He is a retired Navy Captain with 25 years of service and 3,000 flight hours. During his military career he was a test pilot, Pentagon budget analyst, and operations manager at US Northern Command, Peterson AFB. Career highlights include deploying as a helicopter pilot to the Middle East and flying rescue missions for Gulf Coast hurricane victims in 2005.

Chuck received his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy, Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and MBA from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
