Tree Ring Lab

Welcome to the Tree Ring Lab @ UCCS
Established in 2018, the Tree Ring Lab is a group of faculty and students who use dendrochronology, or the study of annual growth rings in trees, to investigate issues of climate change, forest dynamics, fire history, ecological disturbance, and human-environment interactions. For more information about the lab and our activities, please contact Christine Biermann (cbierman@uccs.edu), lab director and Assistant Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies.
