Sarah Elsey joined UCCS in the summer of 2013 after completing her Master’s degree in Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education. She currently works in the Graduate School as the Recruitment and Retention Specialist. Prior to her graduate studies at UCCS, Sarah was a full-time AmeriCorps volunteer where she served one year in Alamosa, Colorado and one year in Denver. She is passionate about giving back to the community and is an active volunteer for Project Angel Heart, the Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue and Pikes Peak Urban Gardens. At UCCS, Sarah is a member of the Parking and Transportation Advisory Board (PTAB), has taught Freshman Seminar for two years and is a co-advisor for the Graduate Student Association. Sarah would like to be a member of the Staff Association Executive Board to help carry out day-to-day operations of the association, expand her knowledge of the University and continue to build a campus culture of collaboration. If selected to serve on the board, Sarah hopes to help expand the unity and cooperation among all UCCS Staff.
