MPA Program Details

UCCS Campus El Pomar

The MPA is a multidisciplinary degree program designed to prepare students to take leadership roles in the public and nonprofit sectors. In addition to a solid core curriculum covering essential problem solving and decision-­‐making skills and diverse elective choices, students also have the opportunity to participate in internships in public and nonprofit agencies. Graduates of the UCCS MPA program will be able to:

• Implement public policy and analyze outcomes to improve services and infrastructure

• Create community and economic development, balancing the provision of public services with tax revenues

Program Credit Hours

36-39 credit hour program depending on internship requirements

Program includes:

• 18 credit hours of core courses

• 3 credit hours of internship

• 3-­‐6 credit hours of capstone or thesis

• 9-­15 credit hours of elective courses
