The School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs offers six graduate certificates and one undergraduate certificate.

Entrance into this program requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, and all courses for the certificate must be completed with a grade of B- or better in order to earn the certificate.  Courses are offered alternately online and on campus.  Those interested in completing a certificate completely online or completely on campus should contact the School of Public Affairs before applying to set the right time of completion expectation.  Course offerings can be found under the Current Students tab.

New students interested in pursuing a graduate certificate must complete the online graduate application, select their intended certificate and pay the required $60 application fee. An official transcript, showing the undergraduate degree conferred, should be sent to UCCS Admissions, 1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80918, or electronically to gradapp@uccs.edu. Current graduate degree-seeking students should complete the Certificate Declaration and submit it to spa@uccs.edu.  The $60 application fee and official transcripts are not required for current graduate degree-seeking students.

The graduate certificate program offers an interim step between completion of an undergraduate degree and entering a graduate program. Credits earned with a grade of "B" or better in any SPA certificate program may be counted toward a Master of Public Administration degree; all graduate criminal justice, homeland defense and security intelligence courses with a grade of "B" or better can be applied to the Master of Criminal Justice degree. Please contact SPA@uccs.edu for additional information.

Students who wish to pursue a master's degree during or after completing the certificate program simply follow normal application procedures.
