Dr. Landon-Murray is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Affairs (SPA) at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He completed a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy at the University at Albany (SUNY), a Master’s of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in Political Science at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Dr. Landon-Murray is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Citizens Academy. Before coming to SPA, Dr. Landon-Murray was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso’s National Security Studies Institute. He also held a joint appointment in the New York State Governor’s Office and NYS Department of State as Special Assistant to the Local Government Policy Advisor. In addition to local government and intergovernmental management, Dr. Landon-Murray researches and teaches in intelligence and security studies. One of his current projects examines how legislators in America’s largest cities exercise oversight of intelligence and counterterrorism functions. Dr. Landon-Murray has published on intelligence analysis and education in the International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, the Journal of Intelligence and Analysis, the Journal of Strategic Security and the American Intelligence Journal.
