Criminal Justice Engagement Series

About: The BACJ program includes campus and community engagement as part of the program's mission and student learning. Our commitment to student success is demonstrated not only in the classroom, which is captured in the traditional academic transcript, but also in an authentic experiential learning context. Both contexts are an important part of student development.

The CJ Student Engagement Series focus on the out-of-classroom learning broadens students' experiences and provides background to potential employers or graduate schools. It also helps students understand the value of the academic and extra-curricular experiences that have gone into their pursuit of a college degree, serving as a tool to synthesize all their educational activities. The initiative also involves using the portfolio to more precisely reflect and assess the learning outcomes that students acquire as part of their in-class and out-of-class experiences.
