Biography

Rachael Peck earned both her B.A. and M.A degrees from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art with a minor in Middle Eastern Migration and Communities. Rachael earned her M.A. in Psychological Sciences, concentrating in Experimental Psychology. Before starting at UCCS, Rachael served in the U.S. Air Force as a behavioral scientist, conducting neuroscience research in human performance augmentation. Most recently, she served as an instructor in the Dept of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the U.S. Air Force Academy, teaching Learning & Cognition and Introduction to Psychology.  Rachael joined Dr. Samuelson’s team in 2019 and is looking forward to researching the cognitive effects of trauma. In her spare time, Rachael enjoys hanging out with her husband and son, painting, trail running, and hiking with her two favorite dogs, Franklin & Eleanor.
