Happiness Groups

Our Happiness Groups are practical and empowering programs based on the book “The How of Happiness: A New Approach to Getting the Life You Want” by Sonja Lyubomirsky. The concepts in this book are based on years of groundbreaking scientific research about what does and does not make people truly (and sustainably) happy. From this research, Lyubomirsky has identified 12 behaviors that happier people do.

The group is a perfect way to meet new people, learn leadership and coping skills, become more comfortable in your own skin, and share in your journey to create happiness. Each meeting will allow you to reflect on the reading through discussions, art, and or activity based projects.

Get Involved with The How of Happiness

The Wellness Center hosts a 10-week Happiness Group once a week to learn how to incorporate happiness strategies, exercise in new ways of thinking, and to realize our innate potential for joy. The group addresses self-discovery, building confidence and self-esteem, embracing a healthy body image and adopting a personal action plan to achieve happiness.

When: Fridays from 12-1pm
