Mental Health Services Trainees receive supervision in psychological evaluation, diagnostic skills, psychotherapy and community out-reach activities. Before applying to be a Mental Health Services Trainee, prospective applicants must have completed a variety of required courses at their programs, to ensure their qualification. While at the Mental Health Services Trainees are involved in a variety of methods of supervision which are employed for monitoring all clinical services. The Wellness Center is in the process of developing and implementing community-based projects. These projects will provide the opportunity for the Trainees to have specialty rotations and participate in the related research projects. Trainees are encouraged to participate in ongoing research projects when available at the Wellness Center, which help to improve client services, Trainee training, counseling efficacy, and the overall functioning of the Center.
