UCCS takes great pride in the academic and personal achievements of its many students and alumni with disabilities. Disability Services (DS) mission is to provide students with disabilities skills, reasonable accommodations and support services to participate fully in the academic environment and opportunities available at UCCS. In addition DS promotes accessibility to all UCCS buildings, programs, and activities. Students are expected to utilize the resource of DS to the degree they determine necessary. Test offerings include: ACT, GMAT, LSAT, MAT, GRE, MCAT, TOEFL. Also: correspondence exams, the UCCS Math Placement Test (MPT), the UCCS Reasoning Skills Test, and the Miller Analogies Test (MAT).

First Year Experience/Student Retention works to help students transition into college life, both academically and socially. They believe that students who feel more connected to campus perform better academically and are more satisfied with their overall college experience.
This office offers interactive workshops, personalized academic coaching including their early alert/grade recovery program, tutoring, and facilitates peer, staff and faculty mentoring.
