The mission of the UCCS Wellness Center is to provide mental health services, health services, nutritional guidance, and educational programming that are collaborative, accessible and meet the needs of a diverse student population.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of the Center's convenient location and reasonable charges. "Health Care for the Student Body" is more than just a slogan, it is indicative of the Center's interest and concern for students and their futures.
Who can use Health Services at the Wellness Center?
Health Services are available to all actively enrolled students who have paid the student fee for the Wellness Center. We cannot see faculty, staff, or family members unless they are current students at UCCS. PLEASE NOTE: Appointments are preferred, but we do offer a limited amount of same day appointments as the schedule permits. Services are payable when rendered with cash, check, and major credit cards.
When you visit the Wellness Center, you have the right to privacy, confidentiality, and to be treated with respect. All medical records are strictly confidential and cannot be released to anyone without your written consent. The only exception to the above are: 1) Information necessary for public welfare; and, 2) Records subpoenaed by the court.
We can only discuss student medical issues with parents of students 18 years of age and older with written permission from the student.
