The Group Fitness program offers a variety of class formats to help students and faculty/staff achieve their personal health and fitness goals in a non-intimidating, group-based environment. Our group fitness instructors are energetic, adapting each class to the ability and skill level of attending members. Whether you have a taste for cardiovascular, strength, dance, high intensity or the outdoors, we have a class for you! Considering being an instructor yourself? Class Descriptions

Barre

Based on classical ballet concepts, this class will focus on movement, alignment, core strength, coordination, building and lengthening of muscles and balance. This class will tone the entire body with ballet bars, light weights and props. No dance experience is required, all skill levels welcome.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

The emphasis of this class is to match breathing with movements while the instructor cues you. Gain strength, flexibility, balance, and range of motion. All skill levels are welcome.

Bollywood Dance

You will be able to jump in and follow along in this non choreographed class. They focus on strength training, cardiovascular exercise, toning and tightening of muscles, agility and flexibility training, and mental well-being. Each student can pace themselves based on their fitness level so students of all levels are welcome. Classes are fun and energetic.

Body Sculpt/Sunrise Sculpt

Increase muscular strength and endurance with this mix of cardio and weightlifting during this hour-long full body workout. There is focus on arms, legs and abs. The instructor will start class with proper form and positions then increase the intensity of each move. All skill levels welcome.

Sunrise Vinyasa Yoga

Come in bright and early to wake up your mind and body. This class will help to gain strength, flexibility, balance, and range of motion while getting the body moving to start your day. You will cycle through poses matching your breaths. Leave this class awake and relaxed.

Bootcamp

A high-intensity mixture of body weight, strength and interval training. Designed for all skill levels but also tailored to push you harder than you would push yourself. High energy, fun and just one more way to enjoy the beautiful outdoors on Alpine field!

Hip-Hop

Hip Hop fitness is a fun and fast-paced cardio class for people of all skill levels. The class focuses on incorporating muscle-toning exercise motions with easy-to-learn, hip-hop dance moves, all set to a playlist of upbeat modern music.

Cardio Power Hour

Power Hour is the choreographed athletic and strength building class sure to get your heart racing. This class is filled with high energy athletic aerobic movements and is sure to improve your fitness and maximize your stamina.

Cycle60/Cycle45

This indoor cycle class combines endurance and interval training with cadence control to improve cardiovascular fitness. Ride to exhilarating music for 60 minutes, which includes a warm-up, collection of drills, cool down and stretching. No cycling experience required. Class size limited to 15. All ability and skill levels welcome.

Hip-Hop

Hip Hop fitness is a fun and fast-paced cardio class for people of all skill levels. The class focuses on incorporating muscle-toning exercise motions with easy-to-learn, hip-hop dance moves, all set to a playlist of upbeat modern music.

Combat

Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports and fitness classes, with participants of all ages, fitness and ability levels showcasing great levels of strength, flexibility and anaerobic capacity. This non-choreographed 60-minute COMBAT class focuses on improving all these components of fitness with dynamic kickboxing, aerobic, strength and conditioning and defensive drills. No equipment needed. All ability and skill levels welcome.

Total Strength

Increase muscular strength utilizing body bars, dumbbells and free weights during this 45-minute full body workout. The instructor will start class with proper posture and position, and continue to assist participants in maintaining good form throughout class. All ability and skill levels welcome.

Cardio Power Hour

Cardio Power Hour is full of high energy athletic and strength-based circuits that will be sure to get your heart racing and increase your overall stamina.

Zumba

Join the party! Latin-inspired rhythms fused with easy-to-follow choreography, dance moves and intervals create the ultimate 60-minute full body workout. Zumba® is one of the most, if not the most successful dance formats in the world, and is here to stay. Just dance! Dance! Dance! Instructors are all Zumba® certified. All abilities and skill levels welcome.

Pop Pilates

POP Pilates is a total body, equipment-free workout that sculpts a rock solid core and a lean dancer's body like nothing else can.

Mixxed Fit®

This is a people-inspired dance fitness program that is a mix of explosive dancing and boot camp toning. Everything about our dance fitness program can be described as explosive – all of our movements are always big, exaggerated, full-out and our very best. We dance to our favorite songs on the radio that we would dance to at a nightclub. Then, we spice things up by adding bootcamp-inspired exercises to make your workout more effective and challenging. If you’re plateauing in your traditional dance fitness class, this might be the answer to your prayers.

Pilates & Playlists

Take the concepts of Joseph Pilates to the mat and focus on core strength, flexibility, range of motion and toning all while listening to today’s top alternative music.
