CPR Training

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

This training is provided by UCCS Police and/or the UCCS Rec Center. It is subject to instructor availability and does cost a fee.

Description/purpose: This course is designed to enable employees to provide adult CPR as needed.

Contents:

  • American Heart - Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation techniques for adults
  • Hands-on practice with models and CPR dummies
  • Information on heart defibrillator (new device treatment for heart attack victims)

Who should attend: All employees & students, that work with or near electrical hazards, provide first aid or have an interest in CPR.

Training frequency: Initial and renewed every two years

Length of course: 2-3 hours, depending on audience size and questions

Course Schedule: The UCCS Police provides this training via the EHS training facility. Click here for their schedule.The nominal fee is accepted by cash or check to cover the CPR manual & CD, training, and certificate.
