Environmental Health & Safety

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) supports the University's core mission of teaching, research, and service by providing comprehensive environmental, health and safety services to the University community. It is our mission to protect UCCS's human and physical resources and preserve the environment. To that end, we are dedicated to creating a partnership with the campus community and providing services to assist faculty, staff and students in integrating safety and compliance into their workplace culture and behavior.

As you explore the EHS web page, you will find that we offer a variety of services to the campus involving:

  • hazardous materials management
  • fire protection
  • occupational safety
  • personal protective equipment
  • physical hazards
  • safety and compliance training
  • waste management

If you are a Principal Investigator, you may want to refer to the PI Responsibilities document to review specific requirements assigned to PI's.

Please contact our office if we can be of service to you or if you have suggestions on how we might serve you better.
