**NEW this year: Entering license plate number(s) is now a REQUIREMENT when registering for a permit. You may enter as many as five different license plates under one permit, but only ONE of these vehicles may be parked on campus at the same time. We are converting to License Plate Recognition (LPR) during the Spring 2018 semester so license plate information is now required. Unregistered vehicles may result in a citation even though a valid permit was purchased. It is the responsiblility of each permit holder to log into the parking portal and keep their vehicle information current and valid.
For all UCCS parking lots requiring a parking permit, the permit MUST be purchased prior to the first day of each semester. There is NO "grace period." Tickets WILL be written for parking violations the first day of the semester. Please read the following information regarding parking options. Owning a permit, without registering the license plate, will result in a ticket. Most permits we sell are valid for the summer semester only and will expire August 3, 2018 (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
Only employees of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs may purchase an employee permit. Students, including graduate students teaching classes at the university are NOT eligible to purchase an employee permit. Employees may purchase only ONE parking permit.
Parking regulations apply equitably to students, employees, administrators and visitors.
Cars violating parking regulations will be subject to ticket and/or immobilization. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchasing a permit entitles you to park in certain parking lots on campus. YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING A RESERVED PARKING SPACE. Permit Restricted Parking Options
In accordance with C.R.S. 23-5-107, the governing board of any state institution of higher education is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations providing for the operation and parking of vehicles upon the grounds, driveways, or roadways within the property under the control of the governing board. Such rules and regulations may include, but not be limited to, regulation of the following: Assignment of parking spaces, designation of areas for parking, and regulation of the use of such spaces and areas including the assessment of charges.

NEW IN 2017-18: All employees may purchase any of the above listed permits via payroll deduction if they wish.
Motorcycles MUST park in designated motorcycle parking ONLY, unless they park in Visitor Parking on Level 3 of the Gateway Garage or Visitor Parking on Level 1 of the Alpine Garage AND pay the hourly fee. Employees who purchase a regular vehicle permit may register their motorcycle license plate as one of their five allowed registered vehicles if they wish, and at no extra charge. However, only one of the five vehicles can be parked on campus in permit-restricted lots at any given time. If you would like to park your motorcycle and a vehicle on campus at the same time, you will need to purchase a separate motorcycle permit.
Non-permit Restricted Parking Areas
Employees not wishing to purchase a parking permit may park at any of the free 500 series lots at or near the Ent Center for the Arts. Ent Center for the Arts building is located at 5225 North Nevada Avenue. A free campus shuttle runs fall, spring, and summer semesters from 6:40 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday while classes are in session (doesn't run on weekends, holidays, breaks between semesters, etc). Summer shuttle service is continuous, about every 25 minutes.
Purchasing Your Permit
Permits not paid for via payroll deduction must be paid for at the time the permit is picked up. We accept personal checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX.
Faculty and staff may return their semester or annual permit for a pro-rated refund throughout the semester. Permits purchased via payroll deduction must be returned anytime an employee resigns or leaves the University. The payroll deduction will be stopped ONLY upon the employee contacting the Parking Office directly. In order to stop payroll deduction, the employee should contact the Parking Office by the tenth (10) day of the month within the month they want the deduction to stop. Employees who have elected payroll deduction are responsible for the entire amount of the permit, whether or not they use the permit for a given semester, unless they have contacted the Parking Office to have the payroll deduction stopped.
