Learning Management System (LMS) Workshop
|7:45am-8:00am||Check-In for Beginning LMS and Light Breakfast for AM group|
Beginning LMSThe Learning Management System has a wealth of resources for you and your students. This will be a hands-on session for all and will help answer all your questions about getting started with the LMS. Come learn how to navigate and set things up for you to easily manage your classes. This session will go through the basic functions of the LMS from setting up your classes, to moving students from class to class, and all the other everyday basic how to items. Learn about where all the resources are and how to incorporate them into your classes. Make the LMS work for you.
|11:00am-11:30am||Check-In for Advanced LMS and Lunch for PM group|
Advanced LMSThe Learning Management System can transform learning in your classroom. Come learn about the advanced technology integrations you can do with your LMS and how to create a multi-media, blended learning environment. This session is for teachers that have the basics of the LMS down and want to take things to the next level. Collaboration with others is a huge part of what we do in PLTW. We will also show you how to create a shared quiz/test bank on the LMS and be able to design and share class resources with other teachers through the LMS. Come get answers to those questions about how you can make all your digital resources work together. Create and use interactive rubrics, embed YouTube videos, design your lessons to be flipped, embed links to your Blackboard, Edmodo accounts, and use other online resources right in your PLTW courses.
