Transfer Orientation Day Schedule

Students, parents, and family members are together for the first half of their orientation. They are separated during class registration.

8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. -- Veteran & Military Check-in (Optional)

  • Pick up your orientation materials and student ID. We have staff from various offices available to answer any questions and welcome you to UCCS. 
     

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. -- Veteran and Military Briefing (Optional)

  • If you are planning to use veteran or military benefits to pay for your UCCS tuition, it is recommended that you attend this briefing. 
     

9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m -- Orientation Check-in & Resource Fair

  • Pick up your orientation materials and get your student ID. We have staff from various offices and student clubs available to answer your questions and welcome you to UCCS. 
     

9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. -- Welcome and Campus Resources

  • We start orientation with a brief welcome followed by information about Student Financial Services, Financial Aid, UCCS PD, the Dean of Students, and our Recreation and Wellness Center. 
     

11:00 a.m. - 11:05 a.m. -- Students and Guests Split into Different Programs

  • Students will follow their Orientation Leader to academic advising, and guests will reconvene to begin the parent and family portion of the program. 
     

11:15 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. -- Group Advising and Class Registration

  • Your academic advisor will provide an overview of your academic program and guide your group through the registration process. You will have time to choose your classes and leave with an academic plan for your first semester at UCCS. 
     

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. -- Clyde's Connect, Student IDs, & Campus Tours (Optional)

  • Stop by the University Center to pick up your student ID, and then join us at the Student Life Lounge to reconnect with your guest. Orientation Welcome Leaders will be available to provide campus tours and answer any additional questions.

  • We believe that there are 5 best practices new students can adopt when transitioning to UCCCS. What are they, and how can you support these 5 key success ingredients?

12:30 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. -- Residence Life and Housing (Optional)

  • Residence Life and Housing Staff will provide a brief overview of the benefits of living on campus and answer audience questions.
