Tuesday

11:00am - 11:30am: Check in and mingle

11:30am - 12:30pm (​working lunch provided!): Guest teacher panel - Pat McGuire, UCCSTeach - UCCSTeach program alumni will discuss their early career experiences (challenges and successes) in the classroom.

12:45pm - 2:00pm: Lecture Session - Welcome to Your First Day of School! Amy Rogers, Math Teacher, Vista Ridge High School, D49

2:30pm - 4:00pm: Off Campus Tours - Storybook Brewing Tour (off campus) Led by Dr. Lisa Hines, UCCS, Location:  3121 A N El Paso Street  Colorado Springs, CO 80907

 

Wednesday

11:00am - 11:30am: Check in and mingle

11:30am - 12:30pm (​working lunch provided!): Guest teacher panel - Cory Gavitt, UCCSTeach - In-service STEM teachers and industry partners will discuss real world examples of Project-based Instruction (PBI) in action.

12:45pm - 2:00pm: Lecture Session - The Benefits of Reflective Teaching, Christopher Cruz, Science Teacher Jenkins Middle School, D11

2:30pm - 4:00pm: Off Campus Tours - Keysight Technologies Tour (off campus)  Led by Dr. Robert Block, UCCS, Location:  1900 Garden of the Gods Road Lower Level Lobby, Building C  arrive at 2:15 with IDs

 

Thursday

11:00am - 11:30am: Check in and mingle

11:30am - 12:30pm (​working lunch provided!): Guest teacher panel - Bobby Gagnon, UCCSTeach - Administrators from local districts will provide their perspectives, expectations, and suggestions for early career teachers.

12:45pm - 2:00pm: Lecture Session - Anti-Bullying & Safety, Beth Danjuma, Science Teacher Harrison High School, D2 

2:30pm - 4:00pm: Networking Session
