113 nursing students receive their white coats in inaugural ceremony

Nursing students in the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences took their oath to patient care and were “cloaked” by the faculty in the college’s inaugural White Coat Ceremony Jan. 28 in Berger Hall. The ceremony is considered a rite of passage to emphasize the importance of compassionate patient care for students at the start of the nursing program.

Free t-shirts and food, special recognitions highlight 2019 Blackout Weekend

UCCS basketball will celebrate its annual Blackout Weekend with free t-shirts, student tailgate and the jersey retirement of the all-time leading scorer Feb. 8-9 at the Gallogly Events Center. Games begin both nights at 5:30 p.m. with the women’s games, followed by the men’s game at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Webb national athlete of the week after breaking DII 800-meter record

After breaking the NCAA Division II record in the 800-meter run last weekend, Skylyn Webb earned UCCS’ first indoor U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week award. She also earned her second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award this season.
