Support for DACA, ASSET, and undocumented students at UCCS
All students, regardless of citizenship status, are valuable members of our campus community. Chancellor Reddy has come out in public support of DACA students and other undocumented students at UCCS. Additionally, President Benson and the four chancellors of the University of Colorado joined other university leaders across the U.S. in January of 2017 in a petition urging Congressional leaders to uphold, continue, and expand DACA.
To better serve our DACA, ASSET, and undocumented students, as well as students from mixed-status families, university leadership helped establish the following initiatives at UCCS:
- MOSAIC Student Advocacy and Support program: A program dedicated to supporting undocumented, DACA, and ASSET students, as well as other students with extenuating immigrant circumstances. To learn more about this program, click here.
- UCCS Student Relief Fund: This fund was created with the intention of helping students who do not qualify for federal financial assistance (such as DACA and ASSET students). To learn more about this fund, click here.
