Veteran Tutoring Program: Tutor Introductions

Math Tutor - Greg Christ

Tutoring time: Monday 12:00-2:30 PM

Hi! I'm Greg.  I have a bachelor's degree in philosophy and criminal justice from the University of North Florida.  I discovered my love for math through symbolic logic while pursuing my philosophy degree.  I have served five years in the Marine Corps as a Navy corpsman after finishing my first set of undergraduate degrees.  After exiting the military, I decided to return to school to study electrical engineering.  In addition to being a tutor for the Math Center, I am also a philosophy tutor the Communication Center.

Science Tutor - Tommaso Mason

Tutoring time: Monday 12:00-1:30

My name is Tommaso Mason.  I am a senior at UCCS pursuing a degree in biomedical sciences.  My goal is to attend medical school and become a successful doctor.  I have worked as a peer-tutor for the UCCS Science Center going on two years.  My areas of expertise include introductory chemistry, general chemistry, nursing chemistry, organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and general biology.  My father served 23 years in the Air Force.

Writing Tutor - Chris Mynatt

Tutoring Time:  Wednesday 9:00-10:30 AM

Hi, my name is Chris.  I am a philosophy major with a minor in women's studies.  I was in the Navy for four years.  My favorite type of writing is any subject that has a good mixture of consistency, rhetoric, flow, and creativity.  I believe every student is capable of cultivating a healthy mixture of consistency and their own creative voice.
