Math tutoring will continue to be offered in the center during the Fall 2018 semester! These will be tutor-led study sessions in order to reach as many students as possible. Dates and times are listed below.
The OVMSA and Excel Centers want to increase the academic resources for active duty, veteran, and military-connected students on campus. Tutors selected for the Student Veteran Program are either former military, military-affiliated and non-traditional students. They are excited to work with military students!

Math Tutor - Greg Christ

Hi! I'm Greg. I have a bachelor's degree in philosophy and criminal justice from the University of North Florida. I discovered my love for math through symbolic logic while pursuing my philosophy degree. I have served five years in the Marine Corps as a Navy corpsman after finishing my first set of undergraduate degrees. After exiting the military, I decided to return to school to study electrical engineering. In addition to being a tutor for the Math Center, I am also a philosophy tutor the Communication Center.

I'm Heather, a Colorado transplant, thanks to the U.S. Army. As a WEST and History dual major, my interests involve women's history--from witchcraft to women's rights. After my time at UCCS, I'm excited to pursue my Masters in Library Sciences. My favorite things are critical analysis, researching, and Chicago Style citations. I'm here for fellow veterans struggling with writing or brainstorming!

My name is Tommaso Mason. I am a senior at UCCS pursuing a degree in biomedical sciences. My goal is to attend medical school and become a successful doctor. I have worked as a peer-tutor for the UCCS Science Center going on two years. My areas of expertise include introductory chemistry, general chemistry, nursing chemistry, organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and general biology. My father served 23 years in the Air Force.
