Gender Studies EBSCO 1972-
Database combining Women's Studies International and Men's Studies databases with sexual diversity issues and gender-engaged scholarship. Source documents include professional journals, conference papers, books, book chapters, government reports, discussion and working papers, theses and dissertations, and freely available full text articles & documents on the Web.

Abstracts in Anthropology  1999-
Contains abstracts from the print issues of Abstracts in Anthropology ranging from 1999 to present.

This databases bring together full-text reports on modern Asia and the Pacific covering a multitude of business, government, economic, and social issues.

Women and Health

Health Reference Center Academic InfoTrac  1995-
Provides reliable health information for nursing and allied health students, as well as consumer health research. It combines indexing of approximately 205 periodicals, six reference books, and over 500 pamphlets; selective indexing for articles in approximately 1500 additional general interest titles; and full text for more than 150 periodicals, all reference books, and all pamphlets. Index of articles on current issues in health. Useful for health or medical communication and interpersonal communication.

A comprehensive bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present.

Defining Gender provides access to a vast body of original source material from a wide range of original sources including ephemera, pamphlets, commonplace books, diaries, periodicals, letters, ledgers, manuscript journals, poetry, receipt books and conduct and advice literature. Topics covered include conduct and politeness, domesticity and the family, consumption and leisure, education and sensibility and the body.

Everyday Life and Women in America Adam Matthew Digital years vary
Resource for the study of American social, cultural, and popular history, providing access to rare primary source material from the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History, Duke University and The New York Public Library. It comprises thousands of fully searchable images (alongside transcriptions) of monographs, pamphlets, periodicals and broadsides addressing 19th and early 20th century political, social and gender issues, religion, race, education, employment, marriage, sexuality, home and family life, health, and pastimes. The collection is especially rich in conduct of life and domestic management literature, offering vivid insights into the daily lives of women and men, as well as emphasizing contrasts in regional, urban and rural cultures.

Indexes women's and gender history articles in over 100 scholarly journals in history and women's studies published since 1975.

Women and Psychology

PsycINFO EBSCOhost  1872-
PsycINFO covers the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines, including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. Communication topics such as interpersonal communication, family communication, male-female communication and nonverbal communication, can be searched in this database. The database includes information from empirical studies, case studies, surveys, bibliographies, literature reviews, discussion articles, conference reports and dissertations.

Streaming Video Databases

Films on Demand Films Media Group  
Contains thousands of streaming documentaries in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. For criminal justice, it contains films in the areas of criminal investigation, criminal justice system and sociology.

PPR: Licensee and Authorized Users may stream, display, publicly perform, or exhibit the licensed materials asynchronously on a single computer or network, course management system, or password protected website for classroom teaching, research, presentations, and educational non-commercial multimedia projects for use in educational institutions, provided no admission or other fees are charged for public viewing. Licensed material may not be used for the purposes of monetary reward by means of admission charge or fee for viewing, sale, loan, transfer, or other form of exploitation.

Media Education Foundation  
Search or browse over a hundred different streaming videos in the humanities, social sciences, and other disciplines produced by the Media Education Foundation.

PPR: Public performance is allowed as long as the screening is on campus, no admission fee is charged, and there is no financial gain from the showing. The public may attend the showing.

Provides full text for more than 3,430 scholarly publications covering academic areas of study including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. This database is updated on a daily basis.

JSTOR  years vary
Full-text of core journals in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Coverage includes the entirety of each journal with the exception of the current five years.

OmniFile Full Text Mega (H.W. Wilson) EBSCOhost 1982-
This general database includes articles that cover a wide range of topics in education, general science, humanities, and the social sciences. Formerly known as WilsonWeb, OmniFile Full Text Mega Edition contains the full text of articles from over 2,500 publications and abstracts from nearly 3,600 publications.

Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, and many others.
