CINAHL Plus with Full Text EBSCOhost 1982-
Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) indexes over 3000 journals from 1982-present as well as books, dissertations, conference proceedings, and professional standards in the areas of nursing and allied health. This version of CINAHL provides online content for over 600 journals and over 200 books with some content dating back to 1937. Also included is the Pre-CINAHL dataset, a current awareness tool that provides basic information about new journal articles before they are indexed in CINAHL.

DynaMed Plus is an evidence-based medical information database of clinical topic summaries designed primarily for point-of-care use.

Medline  EBSCOhost  1966-
Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the MEDLINE database is widely recognized as the premier source for biomedical literature. MEDLINE encompasses information from Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing, as well as other sources of coverage in the areas of allied health, biological and physical sciences, humanities and information science as they relate to medicine and health care, communication disorders, population biology, and reproductive biology.

SPORTDiscus with Full Text EBSCOhost 1985-
SPORTDiscus searches peer-reviewed journals and popular publications in the areas of sport, recreation, sports medicine, coaching, physical fitness, history and sociology of sport, and training.

Ovid Ovid 1996-
Use this database to search for articles in hundreds of scientific, technical, and medical journals from over 50 publishers and societies. Full-text coverage is available for selected journals.

A searchable collection of online books in nursing, including a guide to lab tests, a drug handbook, and various major texts for psychiatric, medical-surgical, maternal-newborn nursing, plus nursing diagnoses. Also includes an online version of Stedman's Medical Dictionary and EBMcalc.

Micromedex 2.0  current
Evidence based information from Micromedex. This includes all the unbiased, referenced information about drugs, toxicology, diseases, acute care, and alternative medicine you need to make informed clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Natural Medicines  current
This database provides evidence-based information about complementary and alternative medicine including dietary supplements and integrative therapies. Grades reflect the level of available scientific data for or against the use of each therapy for a specific medical condition.

Global Health CAB International years vary
Global Health is an abstracting and indexing database dedicated to public health. It contains over 6,000 journals, reports, books and conferences. 40% of material contained in Global Health is unique to the database. Everything from proceedings, theses, electronic-only publications and other hard-to-find sources are included. Resource is limited to 2 simultaneous users.

Cochrane Library  years vary
Contains high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. It includes reliable evidence from Cochrane and other systematic reviews, clinical trials, and more.

HAPI (Health and Psychosocial Instruments) Ebscohost 1985-
Provides information on measurement instruments (i.e., questionnaires, coding schemes, rating scales, vignettes) in the health fields and psychosocial sciences. HAPI helps scholars identify instruments for research, grants, client/patient assessment, and program evaluation.

Merck Manuals  current
Free online access to the following Merck healthcare books for medical professionals and consumers: Merck Manual Home Edition (for patients and caregivers), Merck Manual of Health & Aging, Merck Manual of Geriatrics, Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy, Merck Manual of Patient Symptoms, and Merck Veterinary Manual.

PILOTS  ProQuest 1871-
PILOTS, or Published International Literature On Traumatic Stress database, covers literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, this database is updated monthly and is not limited to literature on PTSD among veterans. This version of PILOTS requires a Library VPN connection if accessing off campus.

Provides your patients with complete, easy-to-understand information about all aspects of their care, medications, and health, in up to 15 languages.

MedlinePlus  years vary
Provides authoritative information gathered from the National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), other government agencies and health-related organizations to help answer health questions. Includes pre-formulated MEDLINE searches, access to some full-text medical journal articles, extensive information about drugs, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, interactive patient tutorials, and the latest health news. This database is free and available to all via the Web.

Reference Databases

Health and Wellness Resource Center InfoTrac 1985-
Similar in scope to Health Reference Center-Academic, this database provides instant access to medical reference materials, including many full-text journals, pamphlets and general interest publications. In addition, HWRC offers instant access to reference resources such as Mosby's Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Dictionary. Descriptions of and links to pertinent Web sites are also provided.

Health Reference Center Academic InfoTrac  1995-
Provides reliable health information for nursing and allied health students, as well as consumer health research. It combines indexing of approximately 205 periodicals, six reference books, and over 500 pamphlets; selective indexing for articles in approximately 1500 additional general interest titles; and full text for more than 150 periodicals, all reference books, and all pamphlets. Index of articles on current issues in health. Useful for health or medical communication and interpersonal communication.

Academic Video Online: Premium Alexander Street 
Collection of over 48,000 streaming video titles spanning essential subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, history, music, film, and more. More than half of the titles are only available through Alexander Street Press.

PPR: Public performance is allowed as long as no admission fee or donation is collected, the screening takes place on campus, attendees are authorized users (currently enrolled students, staff, faculty, and visiting scholars), and the screening is not advertised or promoted to the general public.

Symptom Media  
Symptom Media's library of over 300 mental health simulations including a DSM 5 and ICD Guided Film Collection and Assessment Tools provide viewers with training tools critical for symptom recognition. These innovative films offer visual guideposts to better understand what a particular mental health diagnosis looks like and decreases the stigma for those facing psychological issues.
