  • Online Incentives Program

     Online incentives are currently available to LAS faculty members. Requests for funding will generally go the faculty member's department first, but for departments without online fee money, requests will then be made to the college. 

  • Policy and guidelines handbook for the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences (LAS) at UCCS

    Included are LAS-specific policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols. This handbook is organized by topic. Links to Regent Laws, Regent Policies, Administrative Policy Statements, and campus-wide policies are included within the relevant section or subsections.

  • Definition of Plagiarism:

    Plagiarism is defined in the UCCS Bulletin and in the Schedule of Courses as follows: Use of distinctive ideas or words belonging to another person, without adequately acknowledging that person’s contribution.

  • LAS Innovative Research Initiative Awardees

    The response to the call for proposals for the LAS Innovative Research Initiative was inspiring. There were ten excellent proposals from faculty groups across the college.

    A committee of eight faculty members made recommendations on which of the projects to fund. Based on that, there were two groups that received the awards:

  • LAS Staff Advisory Committee

    The LAS Staff Advisory Committee’s primary purpose is to maintain, and where possible, improve the quality of communication between staff and faculty within the college. The committee is also responsible for awarding the annual LAS Staff Outstanding Service Award.

  • The purpose of the LAS Staff Outstanding Service Award is to officially recognize and reward individual staff members who have given outstanding service to the:
    • college - above and beyond the boundaries of their current job description
    • university– to include other colleges, other faculty, other staff, and other system committees
    • university– to include other colleges, other faculty, other staff, and other system committees
    • community
  • 2019 College of Letters, Arts & Sciences Research and Creative Works Award Submission Guidelines

    Nominations (including self-nominations) are solicited for the annual LAS Research and Creative Works Award.

    • The recipient will receive:
    • Special recognition at the LAS Awards Ceremony (May 9, 2019 in Berger Hall)
    • A $500 one-time award (before taxes)
    • $500 base salary increase
