Pattie Benger – Regulatory Affairs Colorado Springs Housing & Building Association, Civic Leader
Pattie Benger has over a decade of experience in the construction industry. In her current role at the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Benger focuses on cultivating strong working relationships with HBA members, government and regulatory agencies, and other organizations statewide. Pattie manages relationships with executives of local offices, nonprofit boards/leaders, city/county departments, government regulators, and contractors across all construction trades.
Pattie has worked at the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department in several roles including Board Secretary, Human Resources Manager, and the Contractor Licensing Supervisor. She has also worked as a recruiting manager and trainer in the hospitality industry and experience in the banking industry.
As a civic leader, Pattie volunteers on the Fountain Creek Week Steering Committee, has led children’s development groups, served on an audit council, and is a regular volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
She graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a B.A. in English, emphasis on professional and technical writing. Together with her husband, she has four teenage boys, so she is no stranger to large boisterous families. She enjoys reading, hiking, running, watching sports, and spending time with her family. Someday she hopes to write an award-winning novel, build her own personal dream library, and watch a game at every major league baseball diamond in the U.S.
