Bio

Deandra Sanders, MA, NCC, LPCC- mental health therapist/family specialist.

After working in women’s healthcare for eight years, Ms. Sanders attended Northwestern University’s counseling masters program. Her school placed her with Palome Child and Family Specialist and she’s been with the agency since March 2015. During her masters program, She created the game Counselopoly that helps clinicians do psychological assessments on preteens. After completing her masters degree, she started working as a mental health therapist that works with the domestic violence  and Child neglect population. She also works with adolescences on their interpersonal skills, coping skills and provide psychoeducation on how to approach problems. Ms. SANDERS is trained in Nurturing Parenting Techniques and helps parents apply the techniques to their parenting styles to meet their children’s social and emotional needs.

Ms. Sanders has volunteered with Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care for three years. While earning her undergrad degree in psychology through UCCS, she was also a KPWE scholar before she returned as a mentor.
