Sean Milton joined International Affairs in November, 2016 and brings more than 20 years in international education experience to the UCCS campus.
Sean was raised in the Midwest and earned an MS in Student Personnel Services from Emporia State University in Kansas, and a Masters in TESL from Arizona State University. He spent more than 12 years abroad teaching English in Kyoto, Japan, and founded and operated a language school there before departing to return to the U.S. in 2008. Since 2008, Sean has served in international student advising and recruiting roles at New Mexico State University, Idaho State University, Northern Arizona University, and now UCCS. He has served at the local, state, and national level in professional organizations such as NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and has presented on immigration topics, programming, and crisis management at various conferences since 2008.
Sean is a avid tennis player, and spends as much free time as possible with his family, including his two children and wife, Ikuko.
