A native of the Midwest, Elizabeth was born in Wisconsin and has lived in Iowa and Missouri before relocating to Colorado. She received her Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Spanish from Central College in Pella, Iowa and received her Master's degree in Education in International Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she studied abroad 4 times; one semester in Granada, Spain, one semester in Merida, Mexico and two faculty-directed trip to Vietnam and Italy. She been in the study abroad field for over 3 years helping to coordinate and advise international students studying in the U.S. and U.S. students studying around the world. Her passion for education abroad and international education has developed through the personal growth, confidence and expanded perspective that she gained, as well as saw other students gain, through education abroad.
Her personal passions include traveling, food, traveling for food, gardening, trail running, tea and doing anything outside her comfort zone! Her favorite part of education abroad is seeing the personal growth students experience through their time overseas. She looks forward to assisting students and faculty in expanding their perspectives through education abroad around the world and in the U.S.
