In recent years, wearable antenna becomes a dominant topic in the field of antenna research. Realizing the application of this antenna in areas where body centric communication is important such as military, fire fighters, paramedic, researchers around the world are giving attention it. Wearable antenna is an antenna which is expected to perform while being worn. However, all wearable antenna requires distinctive design different from regular antenna in order to make it work in electromagnetically lossy human body. The proposed wearable antenna from this lab is capable of sending distress signal of a victim to satellite/base station. Its dual band feature accommodates GPS band which make the person wearing this antenna able to remain connected real time with GPS satellite.
