Leave Without Pay (LWOP)

Leave Without Pay must be approved by your department and Human Resources before the time off is granted. In order to qualify, Classified Staff must exhaust all sick and vacation and University Staff and Faculty must exhaust all vacation. Please note that paying for benefits during LWOP will be impacted by this decision. 


Steps for Approval for Leave Without Pay

Upon Approval, Review the LWOP Fact Sheet from Employee Services

Step 3: Classified Staff

Complete and return benefits form to Employee Services 

Step 3: University Staff and Faculty

Complete and return benefits form to Employee Services
