Peter R. Brumlik (Ph.D. The Johns Hopkins University, 1976, Physiology, M.A., UCCS) practices medicine locally while teaching hugely popular courses for the history department on the Vietnam War, the Holocaust, and Recent U.S. History. A veteran of the Vietnam War as well as the theater, Peter is also a historical novelist, including the works Three into Nine and The Pope of Camden Town.

From the 1990s until 2014, Peter Brumlik taught a wide variety of courses at UCCS. In 2014, he retired in order to focus more full-time on his medical practice in Colorado Springs. The History Department is grateful to Peter for his many years of great teaching and wonderful good humor.
