HISTORY | GOCA opened on the UCCS campus in 1980, with its first exhibition in 1981. The gallery was previously located in Centennial Hall with a satellite gallery in downtown Colorado Springs. In February 2018, a new site opened at the Ent Center for the Arts. Named the Marie Walsh Sharpe Gallery of Contemporary Art in honor of a dynamic major gift that named the space, the space approximates the same footprint as the original site (with massive technological and museum quality upgrades!).

This gallery features acclaimed work by professional artists, emerging artists, faculty from the University's Visual and Performing Arts Department and more.
