Jenene Nagy: disappear here

Jenene Nagy invited visitors to GOCA to look, and then to look harder. The artist's site-specific installation disappear here transformed GOCA's 2,800 square foot campus gallery space through color, optical geometric abstraction and building materials. In planning for the past two years, Nagy responded to the interior space of the gallery and the surrounding environments of Colorado Springs as well as her southern California home. The resulting monumental and ephemeral work of art was created with common materials - house paint, drywall, 2x4's, mirrors and lumber - during a residency at UCCS with assistance of students.
