Signature Research Areas

The UCCS Global Intercultural Research Center (GLINT) is facilitating a brown bag lecture series in 2014-2015 to discover current areas of strength at UCCS as well as the areas in which we anticipate the most intense productivity and growth over the next five years. Many GLINT affiliates work in more than one overlapping and reinforcing area, and in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams. These areas move well beyond the bounds of traditional subject areas and are on the cutting edge of global intercultural research.

Once thematic areas are established, GLINT will concentrate its resources to further develop and support faculty scholarship in these areas. With particular thematic areas identified, GLINT will 1) encourage and facilitate exceptional faculty research in global intercultural issues; 2) enhance UCCS visibility in global intercultural research; and 3) strengthen the overall research reputation of UCCS.
