The Master of Engineering in Engineering Management (MEEM) program recognizes that engineers often advance into management and supervisory roles which demand a new blend of higher engineering and decision-making skills in order to succeed. The MEEM is a practical graduate degree designed to prepare this new breed of engineer to manage and lead in 21st century technology-driven organizations. The program provides the most up-to-date concepts and skills in engineering management allowing students to develop effective response strategies in confronting real-world corporate challenges.

The content of the new MEEM program will be consistent with the guidelines for the Master's programs in Engineering Management provided by The American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM).

MEEM Program Goals

The UCCS MEEM program will prepare engineers for effective technical management through a series of courses focused on the key skills needed to be successful in a technology-driven work environment. Flexibility in program timing and modality is designed to accommodate today's working professional.

Program graduates will know and be able to perform in the following areas:
  • Systems engineering life cycle process
  • Finance and accounting principals applied to engineering organizations
  • Leadership and management skills for a rapidly changing technological world
