Transcripts and Credit Transfer process

NOTE: The transfer credit process does not apply to UCCS faculty-directed programs.

Upon your return, please take the following steps to ensure that your grades will be transferred correctly and in a timely manner. If students do not complete these steps, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs cannot guarantee a transfer of credit.

1. Ensure that you give your host institution the following address to send your official transcript after you have completed your academic program abroad:

*The host university/program transcript should NOT be directed to the Registrar's Office.*

2. Bring back all course syllabi, completed work, essays, and examinations (if possible) with you on your return as support material.

3. Allow at least 6-8 weeks after your return to UCCS for our office to receive and process your transcript. You will receive an e-mail to your UCCS e-mail account when we have received your transcript. Then, you will need to reach out to your Academic Advisor for your degree plan to be corrected. The transcript will be put together with the Course Approval Form you completed before departure.
