The Dine-With-Your-Professor program is designed to increase out-of-class interaction between residential students with a meal plan and faculty, with the goal of enhancing the overall educational experience at UCCS.
UCCS Strategic Plan Goal #5: “Cultivate a vibrant, healthy, engaged campus community that unites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University in support of the goals of the institution.”
Residence Life and Housing Student Learning Outcome for Growth:
“Community members will engage with faculty and staff within the residential environment.”

Before requesting your Dine-With-Your-Prof coupon, make sure you have:
1. Invited your professor, confirmed a date, time, and dining location that is mutually agreeable.
2. The full name and email address of the faculty member.
Breaking the ice:
It’s easy to ask a professor a question in class or in office hours, but how do you start a conversation over a meal?
Here are some conversation starters to get you talking:
How did you get interested in your field?
How have you seen ______ field grow and develop in the past few years?
What changes do you anticipate in the field?
What advice do you have for someone just entering the field?
What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?
Where are you from? Where have you traveled?
