The UCCS College of Engineering is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer Science. The College of Engineering and Applied Science at UCCS is nationally ranked and offer degrees at the Bachelors, Masters, and PhD level. The Computer Science department has 15 regular faculty, including one Presidential Young Investigator winner and two NSF CAREER winners. This position is expected to develop a strong research program, teach and support educational programs at the undergraduate, MS, and PhD levels, and contribute to professional service. A successful candidate will develop or continue to develop a strong research group with externally funded research program in computer science with a focus in security related systems, including Cyber Physical Systems and Internet of Things. Educationally, the successful candidate will develop graduate courses in security related systems as well as support UCCS programs in Computer Science. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in internal and external professional service activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of security related systems including Cyber Physical Systems and Internet of Things. Ability to develop graduate courses in security related systems as well as support UCCS programs in Computer Science.
The candidate must hold, before August 10, 2016, a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Ability to develop or continue to develop a strong research group with externally funded research programs with a focus in security related systems including cyber physical systems and Internet of Things. A strong publication record is expected for a candidate.
