The UCCS College of Engineering is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer Science in the area of Network and System Security. The College of Engineering and Applied Science at UCCS is nationally ranked and offer degrees at the Bachelors, Masters, and PhD level. The Computer Science department has 15 regular faculty, including one Presidential Young Investigator winner and two NSF CAREER winners. Job Summary

This position is expected to develop a strong research program, teach and support educational programs at the undergraduate, MS, and PhD levels and contribute to professional service. The successful candidate will develop or continue to develop a strong research group with externally funded research program in Network and System Security and/or closely related areas. Educationally, the successful candidate will develop graduate Network and System Security courses and support UCCS programs in Computer Science. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in internal and external professional service activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of network and system security. Ability to develop graduate network and system security courses as well as support UCCS programs in Computer Science.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must hold, before August 10, 2016, a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to develop or continue to develop a strong research group with externally funded research programs in network and system security or a closely related area. A strong publication record is expected for a candidate.
